At the Paris School of Economics, ICRICT Commissioner Thomas Piketty delivered the keynote address at the conference “Shaping the Future of International Tax Cooperation.”

The discussion explored how international taxation has become a central issue in global politics — from U.S. trade threats against digital taxes and the global minimum tax, to the negotiations for a UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation.

Participants examined the political and economic forces shaping tax reform, the risks of unilateral action, and the need for a fairer, more multilateral global tax system.
