The Independent Commission for the Reform of International Corporate Taxation (ICRICT) is seeking a
skilled, motivated and well organised Global Communications Advisor to join our team under the guidance
of the Global Communications Manager.

Job Summary:
The Communications advisor will gain experience in communicating to specialist audiences through
various platforms including the website, multimedia and social media. The successful candidate will work
directly with the Global Communications Manager, assisting with a variety of tasks including web
publishing, media relations, event coverage, multimedia, social media and other communications
activities.
As a key team player, you will participate in the development and implementation of data-driven social
media strategies, leveraging metrics to optimize high-impact campaigns and crafting compelling content
for various social media platforms. Furthermore, you will provide operational support, edit dynamic
videos, prepare comprehensive reports, and leverage your expertise in digital literacy and social media
to inform and shape ICRICT’s communications strategies.

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Propose, create, and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
• Plan and schedule posts on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide operative support to the Global Communications Manager.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of data-driven social media strategies to engage audiences and promote ICRICT’s mission.
• Analyze metrics and provide insights to optimize impact-driven campaigns on social media and legacy media.
• Leverage your expertise in digital literacy and social media to inform ICRICT’s communications strategies.
• Devise and deliver content ideas and campaigns from scratch that align with ICRICT’s objectives.
• Support partners’ communications strategies and report on the success of ICRICT/partner campaign performance across all platforms.

Manager.

Role Details:

Key Responsibilities

The Advisor to the Global Communications Manager will report directly to and provide comprehensive
support to the Global Communications Manager, ensuring seamless communication operations and
media coordination.

Media and Communications Support
• Perform a range of media and communications tasks to directly support the Global Communications Manager and ensure seamless communications operations under his/her direction.
• Day-to-day management of ICRICT’s social media platforms, including short, medium scheduling, conducting research, creating and delivering content, briefing graphics/video, and replying to supporter queries.
• Edit videos for social media, prepare documents, and complete other custom tasks as
needed.

Communications Coordination
• Distribute op-eds to targeted media outlets, manage calendars, and handle and sort incoming messages (external and internal to ICRICT) making sure that you reply to them quickly and following the Global Communications Manager’s instructions.
Monitor multiple channels, proactively sharing critical updates, trends, and engagement
opportunities.

Information Management
• Relay pertinent information from the website and social media platforms to the Global
Communications Manager, ensuring they are kept up to date.
• Provide remote support to the Global Communications Manager during international
missions.

General Support
• Carry out other related functions as directed by the Global Communications Manager.
While the Assistant will primarily report to the Global Communications Manager, they may occasionally collaborate with other members of the Secretariat team under the Manager’s guidance.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Essential:
• 2+ years of experience working in digital communications, social media management, or a related field.
• A creative mindset and approach to content creation and campaign development.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
• A clear understanding of ICRICT’s mission, values, and current social media output.
• Good written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Basic video creation and editing skills.
• Basic image creation and editing skills.
• Ability to work part-time, remotely, and on occasion attend in-person meetings with the Global Communications Manager or as directed by him/her.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with high-profile individuals
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English (Spanish, Portuguese and French are also relevant).
• Eagerness to learn about new innovations and software.
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to work part-time, remotely, and on occasion attend in-person meetings with the Global Communications Manager.

Qualifications:
• University student or graduate with an interest in global affairs, political science, communication, media, or a related field.

The Commission makes statements and undertakes advocacy: its strategy is governed by a broad steering Group of interested global organisations and individuals committed to a fairer, more inclusive global tax system.
ICRICT’s work is supported by a (currently) 5 member Secretariat team, led by a Head of Secretariat. The Secretariat is based in Argentina, Spain and the UK.
