At the Assemblée nationale, Eric Coquerel, Chairman of the Finance Committee, and Charles de Courson hosted a high-level debate on “Taxation of the Wealth of the Super-Rich: For Tax Justice and Economic Efficiency.”

Organized in partnership with the EU Tax Observatory and ICRICT, the discussion brought together leading economists and ICRICT Commissioners: Joseph Stiglitz, Jayati Ghosh, and Gabriel Zucman.

The debate explored how fair taxation of extreme wealth can strengthen economic efficiency, reduce inequality, and help build a more balanced global financial system — placing tax justice at the center of democratic renewal.
