Webinar series "Europe Calling": Prof. Dr. Gabriel Zucman, Professor of Economics at the University of Berkeley. He is regarded as a star economist of progressives in the USA and has just written a great book: "The Triumph of Injustice: How the Rich Dodge Taxes and How to Make Them Pay". Based on strong data, he outlines a plan to end the global tax race to the bottom and shut down tax havens. His plans could become a blueprint for a global movement against tax dumping, as individual states or the EU could also introduce the gist of his plans on their own. 

The Democratic presidential candidates, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, are drawing on his ideas. Gabriel Zucman is also involved in the Independent Commission for the Reform of International Corporate Taxation (ICRICT). 

Catherine Olier is a French lawyer, a former Oxfam adviser on tax justice and a member of our parliamentary group's staff. She will outline how far we in the EU have come so far and what steps we are calling for next.
